Located close to Promenade des Anglais makes this a prime location for your stay in Nice. The promenade leads down to the port area and golden sandy beaches where you can soak up the sun and swim in the deep blue ocean. Cafes where you can enjoy leisurely lunches and then perhaps visit the markets in the Old Town. There is a famous market - the largest, known as Cours Saleya and on Mondays you can find the Flea Market selling antiques, bric a brac and treasures of interest.

If you fancy a nice walk - about an hour then why not go to Cimiez which sits on a hill just a km from the centre of town. Up there you can sit amongst the olive groves, visit the Monastery and view the Museum of Archaeology. During the month of August they hold the Jazz Festival where music flows from the hill top until midnight most days.

Lots to see and do and two very helpful Tourist Information Offices can be found at the main rail station and on Avenue Thiers. Also there is a weekly publication known as Semaine des Spectacles which details events taking place in Nice, Cannes and Aix - it comes out every Wednesday and can be found at most news stands.
