The main harbour of Cherbourg has some 1000 boats moored here - highly popular with sailing enthusiasts and you'll spot the yachts all the way down the Manche coastline.
As you tour and learn about your surroundings you will come to find the importance of the gastronomy in this region - famous for its biscuits - visit any of the Patiseries and try out the various types but the ginger biscuits and the ginger bread are particularly delicious.
