As you venture in to the main town of Macon, just a short drive away there are many things for your to see and do here - historical sites including the Cathedral - St Josephs; Hay House which is a fabulous manor house which belonged to William Butler Johnston and depicts elegant living in bygone times exquisite stained glass windows, ornate period furniture, marble and beautiful paintings - the house has been market a National Heritage Landmark and should be on your list of things to see here.
The Grand Opera House is a popular place in the evenings for those concerts and musical renditions which all make for a most cultural time here in Macon.
