There's over 350 km of walking to be had inside the Parc National des Pyrenees.
Every October there are the Concours Complet International held here - that's the world class horse riding championships in English - there's dressage, cross-country events and horse jumping - great atmosphere for horsey lovers.
Meander the streets of the town and discover some hidden treasures - there's a magnificent Cheese Centre - Fermiers Basco-Bearnais - here you can sample and buy goats cheese, Ewes and cows milk cheeses from the Pyrenees - they tend to be creamy and light, although you can get the stronger tasting ones too.
Take time to enjoy the gastronomic delights and find a suitable restaurant where you can relax and taste the local wines and others from around France and end the meal with something sweet and delicious - the pastries and cakes and desserts here are wonderful.
