Our town is famous for its healing waters - dating back centuries when Queen Victoria visited, Napoleon's sister Pauline and his lover Josephine spent time knowing that bathing here was highly beneficial. To take the waters and to bath in them is still something that people from all over the world come here to do. A most gracious spa town and one of the most famous in France.

The centre of town is where you will fine Place Maurice Mollard and here is where the Art Deco National Baths are situated. Many of the retired residents of France come here on a state funded visit purely for the therapeutic benefits of the water.

For those of you who are feeling fit and healthy anyway there are a wealth of sport on offer - walking in the beautiful countryside, cycling trails - there's a helpful Tourist Information Office that has various routes. Here you will also find a small museum which houses a collection of Roman sculptures.
