Fois Gras is a speciality food made from ducks so be sure to visit the local delicatessens and try and taste and buy. There are numerous vineyards where you can take a tour and end with a sampling - leave some time for that afternoon nap!
Why not follow the Route des Vins with a choice of over 100 wine growers along the way. The Perigord wine is distinctive, rich and almost purple in colour.
