Massena runs in to Rue de France where you will find the pedestrianised area for shopping with some beautiful boutiques, sun kissed people and trendy bars all mingle in perfect harmony.

If you care to take a walk of about 1km then you are rewarded with panoramic views from the hill top of Cimiez - there you can relax under the olive trees, visit the museums and monastery and if here in August revel in the 2 week Jazz Festival with music played until midnight most nights.

Marvellous markets, medieval Old Town, pleasant parks and playgrounds and fabulous flowers all make this a heavenly place to holiday.

Two very helpful Tourist Information Offices can be found at the main rail station and Avenue Thiers and its also worth picking up the news paper - Semaine des Spectacles which details all the events taking place in Nice, Cannes and Aix - comes out on a Wednesday and can be found at most news stands.
