Market days take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays and are a most colourful and character filled occasion.

There are two rather interesting museums in the town - the Museum of Art and Archaeology which depicts the times and history of the town through photography, paintings, artefactural finds, household items and sculptures. The other musuem is found in the left wing of the Castle of St Etienne - the Museum of Science which is themed on the planet and surrounding area and includes information on volcanoes.
