July is festival time and the whole of Brest takes part - street parties, music, dancing and celebrations connected to the sea. A cultural collection of concerts, arts and the celebration of strawberries - there is much to enjoy and join in during the summer months.
Visit the Chateau de Brest and the Churches of St Louis and St Martin. The Maritime museum shows the history of the town and Musee des Beaux-Arts is filled with local artists work.
Gastronomic delights in the many restaurants are the perfect way to end the day - favourites are sea food and for dessert - delicious strawberries.
