Super location in the centre of life and social scene of this famous Provencale city, Marseille. Rooms here are modern, clean and good all round value.Steeped in history and paying tribute to the arts are a number of museums worth visiting within walking distance.

Where we are is a great place to base yourself while on holiday. The old Port is just 600 metres (8 minutes walk) to the North of us. That means you will be able to take in many of the historic sights with ease.

Your rooms here are of a good standard. They are modern in their design. This of course means you get modern facilities too. They have a good comfort level with nice beds. this means you will get some nice rest when you stay. The staff here are very accommodating. They make you feel at home as soon as you arrive.

There are a good number of museums that you might like to visit near by as well. Musee de la Marine (the maritime museum) is based in the beautiful Palais de la Bourse building. It is located 800 metres (10 minutes walk) North of us just through the old port. The Musee Cantini is also worth a visit. Located 450 metres (6 minutes walk) Northeast of us, it houses one of the largest contemporary (1900 to1960) art collections for public viewing. For art lovers there is also the Opera Municipal otherwise known as Opera de Marseille 500 metres to the North (7 minutes walking). Also 1.6 kilometres North, just the other side of the old port is Cathedral de la Major. Built on the Temple of Diana, it dates back to the 19th Century. It is one of the largest in Europe and displaying some fine mosaic work and wonderful marble decor.

The medieval streets are filled with mystique and date back to prehistoric times, followed by the Ligurian settlers, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans and Christians - leaving a city today that is both cosmopolitan and harmoniously blended.

Spend time in one of the many cafe bars sipping coffee and perhaps trying one of the local pastries or cakes, watch the world go by and soak up the atmosphere.

Fancy some beach life then head for Prado, Corniche and the rocky cliffs of Marseille. If you like hiking then be sure to take one of the many routes around the Calanques or if you prefer take a cruise, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.
