The Old Town is home to the largest market known as Cours Saleya and where you will find an interesting flea market on Mondays. Other markets to watch out for are on Avenue Malaussena held every morning and the covered market on Rue Raiberti which is mostly food items - delicious delights!

If you like to walk then a short 1km stroll to Cimiez is well worth the effort. At the top of the hill are panoramic views out over the city and sea and where you can relax in the olive groves, visit the Monastery and the Museums. If you are a Jazz lover then be here in August when there is a two week festival with music playing until midnight every day.

Two very helpful Tourist Information Offices can be found at the main rail station and on Avenue Thiers and its also worth picking up the weekly publication known as Semaine des Spectacles which comes out every Wednesday and can be found at most news stands.
