Just a short walk away and you are on the Promenade des Anglais which leads down to the Port area where you can view the sea, enjoy the golden sandy beaches and take a cool drink at one of the cafes. Historical buildings can be admired in the Old Town where there is a large Market - Cours Saleya and on Mondays a Flea Market displaying antiques and treasures of interest.
An hours walk away you will find Cimiez - at the top of this rock you can enjoy fabulous views over the city and sea. Museums including the Archaeological museum, olive groves and the Roman Amphitheatre also make their home on Cimiez. Jazz Festivals are held here in August lasting two weeks.
Fontaine du Soleil, peaceful parks and playgrounds and a wealth of fine French restaurants make this a most pleasing place to holiday.
Two very helpful Tourist Information Offices can be found at the main station and Avenue Thiers. The weekly publication of Semaine des Spectacles can be found at most news stands and details the events taking place in Nice, Cannes and Aix - very helpful indeed.

 Rating of 2.86 out of 5 Unique ID (3304851985) Good stuff: The hotel was not too far from the beach and shop facilities Bad stuff: cleaning in the room was non existent,The bed was made up but was on wheels and was not pushed back to the wall after making. Overall: The staff at the hotel were pleasant. The first room we were given had sewer smells coming up from the drainage system,However we didnt complain as we were being moved to another room. For cheapness i would recommend this hotel and i would use the hotel again |

Bad stuff: Rather noisy, in our room overlooking the street. A refrigerator in the room would have been nice. The air conditioning system, although present did not seem to be working (or at least we never found a way to switch it on). Overall: As indicated above, the hotel was good value for the price. I can't think of any significant further information which I would have valued before making the booking. |
