Comfortable and good value we are set in the heart of Aquitaine, very close to the town of Bergerac - famous for some of the finest wines in France. A warm welcome with a home from home feel and ensuite rooms that are fully equipped with all the modern amenities you will require.

Ideally located just a short walk from the Dordogne River where there are a myriad of choices for the sports inclined visitors. Take river boat tours, go fishing, canoeing, swimming or simply soak up the sunshine along the river banks. There is mini-golf close by and a water park which is great fun for all the family. Ten pin bowling a good choice of eating houses in and around the town.

Monuments and museums - the Tobacco Museum, the Wine Museum and River Transport and the Museum of Sacred Art. Be sure to take in the sights of the town including St Jacques Church, the Medieval Chateaux Lespinassat and walk through the gardens and parks.

The Old Town dates back through the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries and is filled with narrow streets and half timbered houses.

Castles, charm, history, wildlife and nature all combine with art, culture, good food and wine, theatre, shows, cabaret and evening entertainments.

Throughout the year there are a number of conferences and exhibitions taking place and this is a place for wine lovers, those who enjoy fine foods, families who simply want to soak up the French way of living and perhaps explore the Dordogne Valley and its beautiful scenery - delightful place to holiday.

Good stuff: Convenience and ease of parking.

Bad stuff: Room and bathroom cramped and airless overnight unless windo/door open. More milk woud have been good. Also, for the second visit to Kyriad Bergerac, we had again a room with a faulty shower unit.

Overall: Generally, all the Kyriad Hotels we have stayed at have met our requirements but the accommodation tends to be a little cramped. Personnel was friendly and helpful and the food was very good - although we were a little suspicious of some of the seafood on the buffet.
