Also here is a Casino for those interested in an alternative night out. Visit the Church of Saint-Samson dating back to the 1100's and restored in the 19th century. The Museum of the Atlantic Wall is highly educational.

Caen itself has two churches and a couple of museums - Beaux-Art for the art lovers and Musee de Peace where the story of the 2nd world war is told and there are many remembrances - excellent for historians.
