In the heart centre of the city be sure to see all that is on offer here. Our beautiful Cathedral of Notre Dame is just a short walk away - it has an amazing astronomical clock face and at 12.30 everyday there is the Parade of the Apostles. The Cathedral sits on an island on the River III and is built from pink limestone - it really is a beautiful sight.

Some of the best museums are to be found in this part of town with the museum right next to the Cathedral, Archaeology and Anthropology Museum, Heitz Gallery and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Be sure to visit the most prestigious part of town - the Quarter Des XV where you will find the European Council, European Parliament and the Court of Human Rights. This is also the home of the largest park - the Orangery.

Indulge in the gastronomic delights - there are a host of restaurants and cafes over in the pretty and charming Petite France - filled with towers, foot bridges and pretty coloured houses. This makes for an ideal and romantic place to dine out.

There's a good sense of cosmopolitan feel here with over 45,000 students who attend three universities - studying in the Arts, Medicine, Science and Law - there is plenty of entertainment and a good variety of bars and clubs too.
