Not far from many of the main towns and villages. Riom has a couple of places to visit with the Musee Regional d'Auvergne and the Sainte-Chapelle de Riom. A short drive further along brings you to Volvic - famous for its mineral water and the Maison de la Pierre and Source de Volvic.
French living is peaceful and there are plenty of options for simply taking life slowly, enjoying the gastronomic delights and fine wines of the region.
Take the time to walk, hike and mountain bike around the surrounding hills and countryside and there's also the free spirited option of horse back riding. A short drive in to the main city of Clermond-Ferrand will being you a much more vibrant feel where there are many museums, monuments and places to visit.
