Take off in to the forest of Loches where you can enjoy nature at its best - take the camera and perhaps a light picnic. The whole area is fabulous for walking, cycling and horse back riding. With some of the most beautiful chateaux in the valley. Chateau du Loches, Chateaux of Azay-le-Rideau and Chenonceaux - all close by.
Here in the summer time then you are treated to the Jazz Festival with Loches is famous for - street music and concerts and a real celebratory feel.
The mid-summer festival takes place at the end of June and involves arts, crafts and plenty of lively entertainment.
With just a short drive to the main city of Tours - 30 minutes at most - you can enjoy choice shopping, more entertainment and a lively social scene.
