Radisson SAS Nice 223 Promenade des Anglais Online Booking

Picture of Radisson SAS

The heartland of the French Riviera - Nice is the ancient city founded by the Greeks, developed by the Romans and enjoyed by the rich, famous and discerning.

Waterfalls, fountains, sun, sea and sundials combine with markets, mountains, ancient architecture and trendy bars and restaurants to provide a harmonious meeting of old and new.

Two very helpful Tourist Information Offices can be found at the main station and Avenue Thiers and the weekly publication of Semaine des Spectacles which details all the events in Nice, Cannes and Aix is a useful guide.

Main attractions that should not be missed are Le Chateau - the rock with no castle, here you will find Roman ruins, a waterfall, park and playground and wonderful views over the city and sea. Climb the 213 steps up to the Naval Museum and see your reward. Cimiez is a 1km walk from the centre and again rewards you with panoramic views across the ocean and Nice. There you will find the Monastery, museums, olive groves and the perfect place for photographers.

Parachuting, walking, golfing, roller skating and swimming are just some of the sporting activities on offer. Beautiful boutiques, bronzed beauties parading the trendy bars and delicious French cuisine coupled with marvellous markets and the medieval Old Town make this a heavenly location.
